Selected item timers
Item Cooldowns is a WeakAura group for the usable items selected in its import. It displays remaining item cooldown state so a player can see when a trinket, potion, engineering tool or other configured item can be used again. The group is not an inventory browser and does not include every item automatically.
Read the icon and timer alongside the rotation: a greyed or progressing item tells you why the planned burst item is unavailable, while a ready state identifies the next usable window. The aura reports the WoW item cooldown; it does not activate the item or decide whether the encounter is the right moment.
If a new trinket is not shown, that is usually a configuration/list issue rather than a broken generic trigger. Add or remove the specific child item in the imported group only after confirming the item ID used by this WotLK setup.
