Mage Fire PVE Macros

These Fire Mage PvE macros are designed for WoW WotLK 3.3.5a and focus on Living Bomb targeting, Hot Streak reactions, Combustion timing, interrupts, curse removal, movement and emergency defense. They reduce target switching and make important utility easier to reach while keeping the Fire Mage rotation and proc decisions under the player's control.

Use the exact spell, item and target names from your client. Mouseover macros require a valid unit under the cursor, focus macros require a prepared focus target, and stopcasting macros intentionally interrupt the current spell. Test every macro on a target dummy or friendly unit before using it in a raid.

Stops your current cast and immediately uses Blink.

#showtooltip Blink

#showtooltip Living Bomb(Rank 3)
/cast [@mouseover,harm,nodead,exists][] Living Bomb(Rank 3)

Burst cooldowns

Uses Combustion, Berserking, Mirror Image and the engineering glove enchant.

#showtooltip Combustion

Flamestrike at cursor

Places Flamestrike Rank 9 at your cursor without an extra ground-targeting click.

Counterspell focus

Interrupts your focus target without changing your current target.

#showtooltip Counterspell
/cast [@focus,harm,nodead][] Counterspell

Spellsteals from a hostile mouseover target, falling back to your current target.

#showtooltip Spellsteal
/cast [@mouseover,harm,nodead][] Spellsteal

Remove Curse mouseover

Removes a curse from a friendly mouseover target.

#showtooltip Remove Curse
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][] Remove Curse

Polymorph focus

Polymorphs your focus target without changing your current target.

#showtooltip Polymorph

Pyroblast Hot Streak

Stops your current cast and immediately launches Pyroblast when Hot Streak is ready.

#showtooltip Pyroblast
/stopcasting
/cast Pyroblast

Dragon's Breath mouseover

Casts Dragon's Breath on a hostile mouseover target without changing your current target.

#showtooltip Dragon's Breath
/cast [@mouseover,harm,nodead][] Dragon's Breath

How to use Fire Mage macros

Open the in-game Macros window, create a macro and paste the code exactly as shown. Place it on an action bar and bind it to a key that is easy to reach. The #showtooltip line displays the relevant spell icon and cooldown. For mouseover macros, hover the intended enemy or friendly raid frame before pressing the button.

Focus Counterspell and Polymorph macros are useful when interrupting or controlling a secondary target without losing the boss. Mouseover Living Bomb and utility macros reduce target switching, but always confirm the target before applying a DoT, removing a curse or using a defensive cooldown.

Fire Mage PvE macro tips

Living Bomb, Hot Streak, Fireball and Pyroblast timing should remain manual. A Combustion macro can group cooldowns and item effects, but it cannot decide whether the current Ignite, Living Bomb or encounter phase is strong enough for your best burst. Keep a separate Combustion key when you need independent timing.

Blink, Ice Block, Ice Barrier and Invisibility are movement and survival tools. Stopcasting versions are intentionally aggressive: they can save you from danger or begin movement immediately, but they also cancel a valuable cast if pressed by mistake. Use them only when the interruption is worth the lost spell.

Counterspell, Spellsteal, Remove Curse and Polymorph macros are often more valuable than combining every offensive cooldown. Bind them to reachable keys so you can react to raid mechanics without looking away from the encounter.

Compatibility and troubleshooting

These macros target the WoW WotLK 3.3.5a macro system. Spell and item names must match the language and database of your client, while private-server differences can affect protected actions, focus conditions and ground-target spells. If a macro fails, test the spell alone, verify the mouseover or focus target and reload the UI after editing.

Macros cannot automate Hot Streak decisions, Living Bomb maintenance or the Combustion window, bypass the global cooldown or make protected combat choices. Their purpose is to reduce targeting friction and make movement, interrupts and raid utility more consistent while leaving encounter awareness with the player.
