Automatic Raid Logging is a WotLK 3.3.5a WeakAura that automates or reminds the player about combat-log recording when entering raid content. It is intended to make one specific piece of combat or raid information obvious without adding another full addon window.
Import and setup
- Make sure your WotLK-compatible WeakAuras addon is installed and enabled.
- Type /wa and choose Import.
- Paste the import string from the WotLKHelper page and confirm the import.
- Unlock or preview the aura, move it to a readable position, and check the Load settings so it appears only on the classes, specs, zones or encounters where it is useful.
- Test the trigger before relying on it in progression.
How to use it
Treat the aura as an information layer, not an automation tool. It can show a timer, warning, icon, text or glow when its trigger conditions are met, but protected combat actions still require normal player input. If the display never appears, check spell IDs, aura names, unit selection and server-specific combat-log behavior. If it appears constantly, the Load or trigger conditions are probably too broad.
Practical configuration
Keep the display large enough to notice but avoid covering boss mechanics or raid frames. For raid-wide trackers, confirm whether the aura needs combat-log events, inspect data, addon communication or only your local unit information. Imported auras can contain custom Lua, so review the custom trigger or action code when possible and keep a copy of the original import string before editing it.
Use one clear sound or visual cue per decision. If several WeakAuras warn about the same event, remove duplicates so the important signal is not lost in UI noise.
