These Protection Warrior PvE macros are designed for WoW WotLK 3.3.5a and focus on reliable threat, fast taunts, focus interrupts, party protection and defensive cooldown access. They help combine Shield Slam, Revenge, Devastate and Cleave with the controls a tank needs when enemies move or targets change quickly.
Protection macros reduce targeting friction, but they do not replace stance, rage or cooldown decisions. Use the exact spell names from your client, keep valid focus and mouseover targets when required, and test each macro on a target dummy or in a safe dungeon before relying on it in a raid.

How to use Protection Warrior macros
Open the in-game Macros window, create a macro and paste the code exactly as shown. Place the macro on an action bar and bind it to a reachable key. The Shield Slam, Revenge and Devastate buttons queue Heroic Strike, while the Thunder Clap and Shockwave variants queue Cleave for multi-target threat.
Mouseover and focus macros are particularly useful for a tank: taunt a loose enemy, Intervene a teammate, maintain Vigilance on the active tank or interrupt a secondary caster without losing the current target. Remember that stance and range requirements still apply.
Protection Warrior PvE macro tips
Shield Slam, Revenge and Devastate are combined with Heroic Strike to reduce keybind pressure, but Heroic Strike is a rage-sensitive attack. Watch your rage and incoming damage instead of treating the queue as something to spam on every global cooldown.
Last Stand, Shield Block, Shield Wall, Spell Reflection and the trinket modifier have different defensive purposes. Keep a separate key when a cooldown must be reserved for a mechanic, and confirm Defensive Stance before using stance-restricted abilities.
Taunt, Intervene, Vigilance, Pummel, Shield Bash and Challenging Shout provide strong group utility. Heroic Throw helps pull or tag a distant enemy, while Commanding Shout and Battle Shout keep the appropriate raid buff available without using two permanent keybinds.
Compatibility and troubleshooting
These macros target the WoW WotLK 3.3.5a macro system. Private-server clients can differ in stance checks, focus behavior and protected actions. If a macro fails, check your stance, target range, rage and focus unit, then test the underlying spell alone and reload the UI after editing.
Macros cannot decide which target must be taunted, when to spend a defensive cooldown or how to manage rage. Their purpose is to make Protection Warrior threat and utility more consistent while the player controls positioning, timing and encounter mechanics.
