NeedToKnow is a configurable timer-bar addon for buffs, debuffs, cooldowns, DoTs and HoTs.

How to use
Open /ntk, unlock the bar groups, and add only the spells or auras you need to monitor. Test each bar on a target dummy or during easy content.
Before you install
Keep a copy of your current addon folder and saved settings before replacing files. Confirm that the extracted folder is intended for the 3.3.5a client, enable it on the character-selection screen, and test the main feature outside important group content. If the interface behaves unexpectedly, disable unrelated addons temporarily and reload the UI.
Tracking a personal timeline
NeedToKnow displays configurable timer bars for buffs, debuffs, cooldowns and other durations. Create a bar group, choose what it watches and set the unit or spell condition, then place the group near the action bars. Use one bar for a short buff or proc and another for a longer cooldown so the time scale remains readable.
Test the bar by applying the actual aura or using the ability that starts the timer. A bar can disappear when the aura is removed or remain empty when the selected spell is not present on the character, so verify the exact spell and unit. NeedToKnow is a timer display; it does not apply buffs, cast spells or infer a missing aura from combat text alone.
Make one bar for a buff or debuff and one for a cooldown, choose the exact spell and unit, then trigger each condition. Keep groups near the action bars and avoid tracking effects that do not change the next decision.
Each bar should answer one timing question. Select the exact aura or cooldown, choose the relevant unit, and hide bars that do not change the next decision. NeedToKnow displays state; it does not create the effect being timed.
